Awe, Shucks. Check out these popular collections:

At at 14, my daughter, Maya (17 years old now!) was diagnosed with epilepsy. She was sitting at home watching television with her sister and suddenly had a seizure. She did not have a pre-existing condition, nor did she show any signs that we could have noticed to anticipate it coming. Her father had passed away 11 years prior from a sudden and unexpected Cardiac Arrest in his sleep at 37 years old (which inspired the start of DLK) so her seizure triggered us to have her tested for genetics and every possible testing we could do for the next 4 years. Unfortunately we have no answers to this day. While over the years we have experimented with different medications to help keep her epilepsy under some control, it is a disability that has altered her life and those around her. She is thriving today and heading to Temple University in 2026!

It is an ongoing disability that many have and you cannot see. Help us raise awareness and have fun while doing it!

Epilepsy Facts:
1 in 26 people are affected by epilepsy.
Over 50 million people have it.
The cause is unknown.
Often those who have it, can drive and it can be regulated.
Sometimes it cannot.
It is not contagious.

What to do if you are near someone having a seizure:
Simply lay them down on the floor & on their side.
Then call 911.
